IAG introduces extra bushfire support for customers
In times of such unprecedented bushfires, we want customers and communities to know we’re here to help so they can rebuild their lives, homes and businesses.
This is why we’ve introduced extra support to help with the recovery now and over the longer term.
We want to provide practical, on-the-ground support for our customers, our people and for those who are helping affected communities.
Extra support for our customers:
Customers experiencing financial hardship
We are extending our support for customers (across our brands including NRMA Insurance, CGU, WFI, SGIC, and SGIO) who are facing financial hardship following the bushfires.
The purpose of this is to give immediate and practical help to customers facing financial difficulty – and customers who have upcoming renewals will have the option to extend their renewal payment period.
We encourage anyone who needs help or support to contact us as soon as possible to discuss their circumstances.

Free hire car for motor claims
We are offering a free hire car to bushfire affected customers that make motor claims across our NRMA, CGU, SGIC, SGIO and WFI brands for up to two weeks or until their claim is settled (whichever is sooner).
Discount for firefighting volunteers
To recognise the valuable service provided to our communities in NSW, RFS firefighters and volunteers are eligible to receive a discount off every renewal and new NRMA Insurance home and motor policy. To claim this discount, NSW RFS personnel should call NRMA Insurance on 13 11 23 and flag their membership number. This offer will be available fro 3 February 2020 to 3 February 2021.
