PURPOSE

What are we here to do? What values are important to us? These are fundamental questions that drive an organisation's culture. The answers can ultimately determine the sustainability of a business.

For us to be a sustainable organisation, we need a strong culture. Our people need to understand our purpose and values so well that they are used as a framework to guide their day-to-day decisions which impact our reputation in the eyes of stakeholders and, in turn, drive the ongoing economic viability of the company.

By applying sustainable practices to the way we deliver on our purpose, we will provide the foundations for better and better performance.

Paying claims

Paying claims is what we're here to do. We sell a promise to our customers that should they suffer an unfortunate event, we will provide them with cover when they need it most - at claims time.

Understanding and pricing risk

Our expert understanding of risk means we can price risk fairly for every customer - and puts IAG in the position to help the community and our customers reduce risk.

Managing costs

We have a responsibility to our customers to manage our costs. If we're inefficient, we won't be able to offer a good price in the market place - or pass savings on to customers.

Reducing risk

Reducing risk is a core component of our purpose. It's not only the right thing to do for our business but also for society through helping reduce claims costs and frequency and keeping insurance affordable.
