Holders of IAG Ordinary shares may have been contacted by organisations that have offered to buy their shares at a price below the current market value.

The information below is designed to assist Australian resident holders who may want to increase their holding or sell their existing holding at the current market value but are unsure how to complete this process.

Non resident holders will need to contact a stock broker in their country of residence.

Trading via a stock broker

    IAG has three securities listed on the on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and these securities may be purchased or sold through any stock broker. The shares listed on the ASX are:
  • IAG—ordinary shares
  • IAGPA—reset preference shares (RPS1)

    In addition, IAG’s wholly owned subsidiary IAG Finance (New Zealand) Limited has issued securities and these are listed on the ASX as:
  • IANG—reset exchangeable securities (RES)

The current market price for these three securities is shown in the right hand margin of this page.

The ASX provides contact details of stock brokers who can arrange to purchase or sell any of these securities at the price they are trading on the stock exchange. You can contact the ASX on 1300 300 279 to obtain information about stock brokers or via the ASX website (by accessing this link you will be transferred to a third party site that is being provided for your convenience).

You may also wish to check your local telephone directory to contact a stock broker nearest to you.


The fee for trading securities varies between stock brokers and we recommend you contact a number of stock brokers to determine which broker best suits your needs.

Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006, stock brokers must ensure that they have positively identified investors before selling securities for them. You may need to complete an Investor Identification Information Form and return it to your stock broker before trading your securities. Some banks may waive this requirement if you are an existing account customer as well.
