Warning on unsolicited offers

Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) warns shareholders that a company, trading as Hassle Free Share Sales Pty Limited, has recently purchased a copy of the share register and may be contacting shareholders with an offer to purchase their shares at a price well below the current market value quoted on the Australian Securities Exchange Limited (ASX).

Shareholders who receive an under valued offer from this company should carefully consider their options when deciding whether or not to accept it and seek independent financial advice.

Shareholders wishing to sell their shares are encouraged to contact a local sharebroker who is licensed to trade on the ASX. Alternatively, most major banks offer a share trading facility and will be able to provide this service if contacted.
