IAG provides insurance in Thailand under the Safety Insurance and NZI Thailand brands. In Malaysia, IAG has an interest in the general insurer arm of AmAssurance, AmG. In India, IAG has signed a joint venture agreement with the State Bank of India (SBI) to establish a general insurance company. In China, IAG has a roadside assistance operation and insurance agent, China Automobile Association (CAA). IAG is selectively pursuing growth opportunities across Asia with a focus on Thailand, Malaysia and India.

Brands


NZI Thailand

NZI is the brand for IAG's commercial insurance business in Thailand. Established in 1985, the company was acquired and rebranded by IAG in 2005.

Safety Insurance

Safety Insurance provides predominantly personal insurance in Thailand. IAG has held a stake in Safety Insurance since 1998, and now holds 98.5% voting rights.

AmAssurance

AmAssurance is a leading Malaysian insurer. IAG has 49% ownership of the general insurance arm of AmAssurance, AmG.

State Bank of India (SBI)

SBI is India's largest bank. IAG has signed a joint venture agreement with SBI to establish a general insurance company in India. SBI has over 100 million customers and 11,000 branches across the country and access to an additional 46 million customers and 4,500 branches when including its subsidiaries.

CAA

CAA was established in Beijing in 1995 and is China's largest roadside assistance provider. IAG has held a stake in CAA since 1999, which increased to 100% in 2003.
