Michael Wilkins

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
Michael Wilkins was appointed Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director in May 2008 after holding the position of chief operating officer since November 2007.
Mr Wilkins has more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance and financial services sector. He is a director of the Insurance Council of Australia and a member of the Australian Government’s Financial Services Advisory Council.
Michael was formerly managing director of Promina Group Limited (from August 1999 until March 2007), managing director of Tyndall Australia Limited (from 1994 to 1999) and a director of the Investment and Financial Services Association.
He is a non-executive director of Maple-Brown Abbott Limited and was formerly a non-executive director of Alinta Limited.
In 2004, Michael was voted as Outstanding Chartered Accountant in Business and in 2005 as ANZIIF Insurance Personality of the Year.

Karl Armstrong

Acting Chief Executive Officer, New Zealand
Karl Armstrong was appointed Executive General Manager of NZI in August 2008 and is currently acting Chief Executive Officer of IAG’s New Zealand business. He will act in this role until November 2010.
Karl has more than 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having joined NZI in 1971. He spent 18 years working for NZI and General Accident in the UK before returning to New Zealand in 1994.
In 1998 he set up the Accident Insurance division when ACC was first opened to competition. Karl’s experience includes underwriting and risk management, reinsurance, sales, broker relationship management and marketing. |

Justin Breheny

Chief Executive Officer, Asia
Justin Breheny was appointed as IAG's Chief Executive Officer, Asia in March 2006 with the responsibility for managing the Group's existing and developing business interests in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China and India, and expansion into new Asian markets. He has over sixteen years experience living and working in Asia.
Prior to joining IAG, Justin held senior executive and board positions
within ANZ Banking Group's Asian operations, with responsibilities during
this period including the management and strategic expansion of ANZ's
Asian branch network business in China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan,
Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
He was also responsible for initiating ANZ's Asian partnership strategy
through the investment in Panin Bank (Indonesia) and in 2005 completed
ANZ's first large investment in China, in Tianjin City Commercial Bank.
Before joining ANZ, Justin held senior management positions in Australian
based financial services organisations including Capel Court Investment
Bank, Citibank and Chase-NBA Merchant Bank. |

Andy Cornish

Chief Executive Officer, Direct Insurance
Andy Cornish joined IAG in January 2009 as Chief Executive Officer, Direct Insurance, which distributes general insurance products directly to customers throughout Australia under the NRMA Insurance, SGIO, SGIC and RACV* brands.
Andy brings to IAG more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He previously held several managing director roles with the second largest general insurer in the UK, RBS Insurance, which is part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
Prior to joining RBS Insurance in 1999, Mr Cornish was chief executive officer of motoring organisation Green Flag Group Ltd. He has also held senior management positions with Zurich Insurance and Eagle Star Insurance Co Ltd.

Ian Foy

Chief Executive Officer, UK
Ian Foy was appointed Chief Executive Officer of IAG’s UK business in September 2010. He moved to the UK from IAG’s New Zealand business where he served for more than seven years, including over two years as chief executive.
Ian is an experienced insurance executive having worked extensively in the UK and New Zealand, as well as other areas of Europe and in Australia.
Prior to becoming chief executive of IAG’s New Zealand business in July 2008, Ian spent five years as head of broker business & strategy at NZI. He has also held several roles within Aviva’s insurance business, including director of business operations at NZI and managing director of CGU Bonus in the UK.
Ian began his career in the UK insurance industry, spending over a decade with General Accident, working in a range of operational and strategic roles. |

Nicholas Hawkins

Chief Financial Officer
Nicholas Hawkins was appointed Chief Financial Officer in July 2008.
Since joining the company in 2001 he has held senior positions in the
Group, most recently as chief executive officer IAG New Zealand.
He has also had several senior roles in the company including head
of asset management & group strategy, with responsibility for $14
billion in funds under management and, prior to that, as general manager,
group finance.
Before joining IAG, Nicholas was a partner with the international
accounting firm KPMG, where he specialised in working with financial
services clients. |

Jacki Johnson

Chief Executive Officer, The Buzz
Jacki Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer of The Buzz, Australia’s online insurer. She is also a director of Community First Credit Union and the Personal Injury Education Foundation.
Jacki has held senior positions in IAG, most recently as chief executive
officer, business partnerships, managing IAG's risk management services
businesses and which included the New South Wales and Victoria workers'
compensation fee based businesses, safety consulting and national employer
services (including provision of self insurance services). Jacki also
had responsibility for the third party distribution of CGU and Swann
Insurance branded products through financial institutions, affinity
groups, motor dealers and motor manufacturers.
Jacki has also held roles in organisational effectiveness and group
strategy, and led the integration of IAG and CGU's workers compensation
business. Before joining the Group in 2001, she held senior positions
with Allianz Insurance, HIH Insurance and IRS Total Injury Management.
Jacki is a former director of the New South Wales WorkCover Authority. |

Leona Murphy

Group Executive, Corporate Office
Leona Murphy was appointed Group Executive, Corporate Office in July
2008, after joining IAG's executive team as group executive, business
services, in November 2007. She has responsibility for managing a portfolio
of central functions including strategy, business development, risk
and compliance, audit, government relations, business sustainability,
general counsel, group secretariat and shareholder services, group human
resources and the chief information officer function.
Leona has more than 18 years’ experience in the insurance industry
including seven years with Promina and Vero. At Promina, she was executive
general manager, strategic implementation, working with the chief executive
officer on strategy execution and alignment. Within Vero, she held several
senior roles, including executive general manager for strategy and new
business, and general manager, national claims. Prior to joining the
Promina Group, she held senior positions with HIH Insurance. |

Duncan West

Chief Executive Officer, CGU
Duncan West joined IAG in January 2008 as Chief Executive Officer,
CGU. Duncan brings to IAG more than 20 years' experience in the insurance
industry. He is currently President of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
Prior to joining IAG, he was chief executive of Vero, the intermediated
insurance business of Promina, from May 1998.
Previously, Duncan held several senior positions within Royal &
SunAlliance, including spending two and a half years establishing the
Indian Liaison office for the Royal & SunAlliance Asia Pacific Group
in Delhi, two years running Royal Insurance Direct in the UK, as well
as working within the Royal & SunAlliance UK commercial operations. |
